Ingredients:
- 150 g of grated carrots
- 125 g of wheat flour
- 200 g of sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon of baking powder
- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
- ½ cup of vegetable oil
- pinch of salt
- walnuts for decoration
Cream:
- 125 g of cream cheese
- 50 g of butter
- 100 g of powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
How to make a carrot cake?
Preheat oven to 160°C. Prepare a baking mold - we recommend a SMART square silicone baking tin.
Put flour, baking powder, cinnamon and a pinch of salt into a bowl and mix well. Add the eggs to the other bowl and beat them lightly. Then add sugar, oil and beat again. When all the ingredients are combined, pour the flour mixture into them and mix.
Add the grated carrot to the bowl. Mix everything well and pour into a baking tin.
Bake for about 50 minutes. It's a good idea to use a toothpick beforehand to see if it's ready.
In the meantime, prepare the cream. Beat the cream cheese together with the butter and vanilla extract. Gradually add sugar to the cream and mix until the cream is smooth, free of lumps.
Put the cream on the cake and decorate it with walnuts.
