Ingredients:
- Butter
- 400g canned beans
- 4 slices of brown bread
- 100 ml of vegetable broth
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 2 tomatoes
- 1 red onion
- Chives
- Half a teaspoon of rosemary
- Salt and pepper
How to make English style butter toasts?
Wash the chives thoroughly under running water, dry and chop finely.
Peel the onion and garlic and cut them into small pieces.
In a deep frying pan, heat the butter and fry the garlic and rosemary on it. Then add tomatoes and beans to them, pour in the vegetable stock and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer for 15 minutes.
Take the pan off the heat and mash the beans and tomatoes.
Place the slices of bread in the toaster, on the electric grill or on the grill pan to brown nicely.
Brush hot toast with butter and then bean paste. Finally, sprinkle them with chives and red onion.
