WARRANTY TERMS FOR GERLACH KNIVES
"GERLACH" Joint Stock Company, based in Drzewica (26-340) at ul. Braci Kobylańskich 41 (hereinafter referred to as Gerlach SA), hereby provides a warranty for the offered kitchen knives under the terms specified in this document.
"Gerlach SA guarantees that the offered knives are of proper quality and are manufactured in accordance with the European Standard PN-EN ISO 8442-1 (Requirements for food preparation cutlery).
A two-year warranty is provided for knives manufactured by Gerlach in terms of compliance with the European Standard.
Under the warranty, Gerlach SA provides free removal of defects arising from non-compliance with the European Standard in the production of the product.
In the case of a positive consideration of the complaint, within 21 days from the day the defective product is delivered by the customer to the sales point or to the address indicated in point 1 above, Gerlach SA will rectify the defects and deliver to the buyer's address within the European Union products without defects. If the defects cannot be removed, the customer may request a replacement of the product with a new one.
This warranty is granted exclusively for the use of the product in accordance with its intended purpose, provided that the manufacturer's recommendations, especially regarding the washing and maintenance of knives, are followed.
This warranty does not cover mechanical damages and defects arising from:
improper use and non-compliance with the usage conditions,
self-inflicted damages such as scratches incurred during washing, especially in dishwashers,
use for professional purposes, sharpening knives on devices not adapted for this task,
further use of the product after a defect had been identified,
repairs made outside Gerlach SA,
reasons other than non-compliance with the European Standard.
The warranty is granted to the purchaser for the purchased knives, provided that a proof of purchase of the warranted product is presented at the sales point or at the headquarters of Gerlach SA along with the claimed product.
The warranty is valid within the territory of the European Union.
The warranty does not exclude, limit, or suspend the rights of the buyer arising from the provisions on the warranty for defects of the sold item.
Usage Conditions for Knives
Since 1760, with passion, we create products known for very good quality. To fully enjoy the use of our products for as long as possible, please adhere to our guidelines.
Remember not to wash knives in the dishwasher, especially those with wooden elements.
Do not clean knives with abrasive sponges, brushes, or cloths, nor use strong cleaning agents.
When washing knives by hand, use warm water with a mild detergent, rinse your knives with clean water, and dry them with a soft cloth.
Do not leave food residues or spice remnants on the knives.
Try not to keep knives submerged in water for too long.
Remember to sharpen knives using traditional sharpeners with a fixed angle or "steel" type sharpeners, trying to maintain the correct sharpening angle.
Never sharpen knives on high-speed grinding wheels.
Do not sharpen serrated edge knives with traditional two-phase and three-phase sharpeners.
After each sharpening, rinse your knives with warm water and dry them with a soft cloth.
